Take & Make—Coloring Book Plate

IN PACKAGE

YOU SUPPLY

  • Thick black permanent marker or Sharpie 

  • Acrylic paint color of your choice 

  • Black paint marker 

  • Foam paint brush 

  • Scissors 

  • Colored pencils 

  • Spray bottle with water (OPTIONAL) 

  • Foam or paper plate for paint 

DIRECTIONS

1. Remove the sticker from the back of the plate. Clean the back of the plate with the rubbing alcohol pad. 

2. When dry, edge the plate with a black paint marker. 

3. & 4. Trace around the coloring design with a thick black permanent marker and color in as you like with colored pencils. 

5. & 6. Carefully cut out the images and decide on the design. 

7. Mist the front and back of the cutouts with water using a spray bottle. (OPTIONAL) 

8. & 9. Add the Mod Podge Dishwasher Safe Sealer to the front of your cutout. 

10. Gently place images on the back of the plate and snip the edges if adhering around the curves. 

11. When all the pieces are adhered and dry, paint the back of the plate with the paint color of your choice using a foam paint brush. TIP: Tap the paint brush up & down to cover the plate without leaving brush marks.

12.  When dry, coat the entire back of the plate with Mod Podge Dishwasher Safe Sealer. Let dry for  1- 2 hours and then apply 2 – 3 more coats. Let dry 1 – 2 hours between coats. 

13. Cure your project for at least 28 days. Wash by hand or in the top rack of the dishwasher.
